CHOIR REHEARSAL

The Choir meets only during the winter months, November to April. Rehearsals are at 9:00 AM on Sunday.

COMING EVENTS

July 26 - Trustees meeting Tuesday at 10:00 AM.

July 30 - Deliver SHARE.

July 31 - Fiftfh Sunday, Children's Home offering; blessing Project 5000 food.

August 2 - Tuesday Soup With Sue.

August 7 - Communion Sunday.

August 14 - Pot Luck Lunch after service.

Lena Vista has been blessed with the gift of a new ministry.  We are beginning on April 5, 2011 our “Tuesday Soup with Sue ”.  Members of our Congregation and friends in the community can come and eat a hearty bowl of soup, bread, salad and a drink at noon.  We will have a different soup every month, so bring us your best recipes and we will cook them!!  Our food ministries, Share and Project 5000, have grown tremendously and the Soup on Tuesday fell into place as a natural progression and addition. 

Each Sunday morning at 9:30 AM we meet in Fellowship Hall for coffee, donuts, and fellowship. All are invited.

Our Cluster of Churches..

Our Cluster churches include Lena Vista UMC, First UMC in Auburndale, and Winter Haven Trinity UMC.  The pastors and lay representatives from each church meet regularly to study and plan together.  The three churches also have joint fellowship dinners and music nights once each quarter.  The purpose of the cluster is for cooperation and support in ministry.  

RECENT UPDATES ON FACILITIES...

*  Remodeled the church office/pastor's study area.

*   Replaced the fence and gates with more aesthetically pleasing material, thanks to contributions of a number of members & friends. See our pictures page.

*   Replaced the carpeting in the sanctuary and in the hallway in the Fellowship Hall, again thanks to contributions from a number of members & friends.

*   Remodeled Rest Rooms to make them handicapped accessible.

*   Renovated the air conditioning system to improve control in the Fellowship Hall.

*   Installed banisters and hand rails in the chancel area.
